For example, Academic Structure explains our divisions: Humanities and Social Studies, Arts and Sciences, and School of Nursing. In department program pages, you’ll learn more about the faculty, mission and distinctives of the area. In the Department of American Sign Language and Interpreting, for instance, here is a distinctive: “Majors are required to take the national written exam by the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf, Inc. prior to receiving their degree. They are required to participate in 15 week internship course (300 hours) during their senior, spring semester. Arrangements for this course are made between the Interpreting instructor, student, and internship site.”
