Brian is a 1979 Bethel graduate with an associate degree in Business Management. For 30 years, he has been active in his family’s business, Habegger’s Ace Hardware and Lumber Yard, Berne, Ind. The business was founded by his father Charlie Habegger and uncle Sam Habegger. Currently, Brian and his cousin Michael, are co-owners of the business.

While at Bethel, Brian met Denise Pannabecker (Elementary Education, ’81). Brian and Denise spent their first married years in the Mishawaka area before moving to Berne, in the winter of 1989, when Brian joined the family business. Denise teaches Kindergarten at South Adams Community Schools.

Brian and Denise are active members of First Missionary Church in Berne, where Brian recently finished a 10-year term on the Missionary Church General Oversight Council. He serves on the Missionary Church Central Regional Board as a lay member.

Brian and Denise have two children, Stephanie and Jeremy, and two granddaughters.
