Bethel Fund
Supporting Bethel Students
The Bethel Fund directly supports Bethel students and the university’s mission to building lives of commitment for leadership in the Church and the world, while also providing strong academics, spiritual formation, relationships and mentoring.
More than 75 years after our founding, Bethel continues to guide students through spiritual and academic growth while helping them find their calling so they can transform the world. With the support and investment from alumni, parents and friends like you, we can continue to make a difference to current and future students.
Your gifts literally shape the experience of Bethel University students by providing opportunities that would otherwise not be possible. While tuition alone does not cover the entire cost of a Bethel education, it is because of donor support that Bethel is more affordable to every student!
Join thousands of others today to support Bethel students by making a gift to the Bethel Fund.
What does the Bethel Fund do?
Most gifts to the Bethel Fund go directly to student scholarships. Your donation, no matter the size, makes a direct difference to our students, making it possible for them to attend, stay at, and graduate from Bethel!
You can also designate your Bethel Fund gift to:
- Beautification of campus
- Other needs agreed upon by Bethel University’s leadership and Board of Trustees
Does my gift really make a difference?
Yes! Any gift, no matter the size, goes directly to help Bethel students. 100% of our students rely on donor support during their time at Bethel, so when you make a gift, you truly make a difference.
“Receiving financial support from Bethel has helped tremendously. It is nice know that I go to a school that not only is helping me grow in my faith and academics, but also cares for my financial success as well. Bethel is really good at making it easy to enjoy studying and living on campus without the overwhelming thought of the debt.”

Why do I get more than one letter asking for support throughout the year?
Selected mailings to donors who have made gifts throughout the year are designed as a thank you or updates for the Bethel Fund. An opportunity for making a new gift is always provided because many prefer to make smaller gifts throughout the year rather than one large gift – every one of your gifts matter!
Based on if you’re an alumni and your degree or special interests, you may also receive solicitations from other campus area groups. Our goal, however, is to strive to coordinate timing of various fundraising efforts within the University.
How do I specify support?
You can choose from a short list of the most urgent general fund needs provided on each piece of mail you receive or on our giving form. Most gifts to the Bethel Fund go directly to student scholarships. Unrestricted gifts are the best way to provide support for the changing priorities in any financial budget, so if you would like to make a larger gift for a special program or project at Bethel University, please call the Institutional Advancement Office at 574.807.7485.
How do matching gifts work?
If your company has a matching gift program, your gift to Bethel University may be doubled or even tripled. Forms are usually available from your human resources department. If you are not sure whether or not a particular company matches gifts, please call us at 574.807.7485. Matching gifts from your employer will be credited towards your level of giving.
I don’t live in the United States. Can I still give?
Yes – you can still give here!
What is the President’s Circle Giving Society, and how can I join?
Members are included in the President’s Circle when they give $1,000 or more in a 12-month period.
