A new scholarship is available for ministry majors at Bethel University, in partnership with the Missionary Church, Bethel’s denominational affiliate. The Missionary Church Ministry Majors Fund will provide $1,000 per semester ($2,000 per year) for eligible students.
The purpose of the Missionary Church Ministry Majors fund is to raise up pastors and missionaries for ministry in the Missionary Church, encourage prospective ministry students to attend Bethel University and offset the cost of an undergraduate degree for students entering the ministry.
“This scholarship and partnership between Missionary Church and Bethel University is such a blessing at multiple levels. It helps students called into ministry to realize their call by preparing deeply and well for Kingdom service. It affirms and encourages pastors, missionaries, and professors to support one another as we pour into the lives of our students. And it models biblical family, building the Church together through mutual support, relationship, and commitment,“ says Kent Eby, Ph.D., Professor of Mission and Missionary Church Endowed Professor of Biblical Theology.
To qualify, students must be studying full-time, intend to serve as a pastor or missionary and have declared a Christian Ministry, Pastoral Leadership or Intercultural Studies major. They must also attend a Missionary Church as their home church (verified upon acceptance) and maintain a GPA at 2.0 or above.
The scholarship is in addition to any Bethel aid or scholarships.
