I graduated from the interpreting program at BU in 2022. I loved my time at Bethel — it was such an answer to prayer. I cherish every semester I had at BU!

I work for Deaf Community Services (DCS) in Indianapolis as a freelance interpreter intern. Every day is different for me. Some days I have back-to-back jobs, and others I spend all day at a school or a job orientation. Sometimes I’m interpreting from 2am till 7am and others during normal business hours. Most of my jobs I fly solo, but every once in a while I get the pleasure of a team. I’ve experienced jobs at hospitals, college graduations, K-12, college classes, warehouses, vocational rehabilitation (VR), formal events, weddings, etc.

I love freelance interpreting, especially in a city, because I get to have such a variety of experiences; it keeps life interesting! I’m still learning and growing, and I will continue building my skills until I retire. I love what I get to do!
