Bethel University to host Fine Arts Scholarship Day Feb. 5

by | Jan 17, 2024

On Feb. 5, 2024, Bethel University will host a special scholarship day for prospective Fine Arts students. This event is for high school seniors who are looking to join our Fine Arts department and their families. Students will receive a one-time $500 scholarship toward their first year of tuition just for attending. Registration closes Jan. 26, 2024.

The day will include a full schedule of events and informational meetings for both students and their parents. Students will discover what Fine Arts at Bethel entails. The day’s schedule also includes attending networking opportunities and chapel, enjoying a catered lunch and experiencing area-specific activities. Optional activities also include a campus tour and opportunities to meet with admission counselors or have individualized financial aid appointments.

For each area of study, students will learn how they can receive departmental scholarships of up to $8,000. For those who are entering music and theatre, they will have the opportunity to audition and interview. Prospective art students will be able to experience an art workshop.

“The Art Workshop will guide students on strategically curating portfolios to meet the unique requirements of scholarship committees,” says Chad Jay, art department chair. “Participants will gain insights into tailoring their work to align with scholarship themes, creating visually impactful presentations, and crafting compelling artist statements. “Through feedback, peer reviews, and discussions on successful scholarship application strategies, attendees will develop the skills needed to present their artistic journey in a manner that showcases their talent.”

Meals and entrance to all campus activities are free of charge. Learn more and sign up now at BethelUniversity.edu/Scholarship-Day.
