Bethel University will celebrate its 75th anniversary during Homecoming weekend, Sept. 30-Oct. 1, on campus. Alumni and friends are invited to participate in activities throughout the weekend, starting with Alumni Chapel at 10 a.m. on Fri., Sept. 30, which will feature this year’s Alumni Award recipients. Other events on Friday include a “Chicken Finger Friday” dinner at 5 p.m. in the Dining Commons, music recital in Everest-Rohrer Auditorium at 7:30 p.m., and live music and coffee at Heritage Meeting House at 8:30 p.m..
Saturday’s activities kick off with the “Rise and Run” 5K at 8 a.m., featuring Rise and Roll donuts and coffee at the finish line (wheelchairs and strollers welcome). The cost is $10 per runner. Then, former baseball and lacrosse players will gather for alumni games at 9 a.m. and 11 a.m., respectively. Alumni and friends will enjoy free admission to the Women’s Volleyball vs. Taylor game at 3 p.m., followed by Reunion Village (by decade) with food trucks ($15 for supper tickets) from 4-7 p.m. A Future Pilots Zone will offer activities for kids of all ages.
The night will include free admission to the Men’s Soccer vs. Marion game at 5 p.m., and conclude with a Birthday party for Bethel with cake and fireworks at 8 p.m.
