Bethel University welcomes alumni and friends to celebrate Homecoming weekend, Oct. 4-5, on campus. Weekend activities, starting with Alumni Chapel at 10 a.m. on Fri., October 4, which will feature this year’s Alumni Award recipients.
Other events on Friday include a “Chicken Finger Friday” dinner at 5 p.m. in the Dining Commons and a worship night in Everest-Rohrer Auditorium at 7 p.m.
Activities for Sat., October 5 will kick off with the “Rise and Run” 5K at 9 a.m., featuring Rise’n Roll donuts and coffee at the finish line. The cost is $10 per runner. The race is open to all, and wheelchairs and strollers are welcome.
The rest of the morning will be filled with activities celebrating athletics. From 10 a.m. – 1 p.m., basketball alumni can enjoy a reunion filled with activities. We will host an intrasquad scrimmage at 10 a.m., an alumni game at 11:15 a.m. and lunch at 12:30 p.m.
Also from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m., dodgeball alumni can gather to relive their memories. At 10 a.m., people can enjoy a reunion with other players. From 11 a.m. – 12 p.m., there will be an open gym for dodgeball, followed by a dodgeball tournament from 1-4 p.m. The dodgeball tournament is open for registered teams at $10 per person and will include a commemorative T-shirt.
Then, from 12-2 p.m., alumni who graduated around Y2K are welcome to enjoy a time of connection at the Y2K Era Reunion on the patio behind the Dining Commons.
Then, from 4-6 p.m., a Future Pilots Zone will offer activities for kids of all ages, and food trucks will be available leading up to the evening’s soccer game.
The night will conclude with free admission for alumni to the Men’s Soccer vs. University of Saint Francis (Ind.) game at 5 p.m.
