Student Life
Experience life as a Bethel Pilot.
Being a student at Bethel is all about connectedness. As a student you will connect with God, new and lifelong friends, professors, future employers, and more. Through these connections you will have opportunities to grow in your faith in Jesus while living in community with others. A continual availability of shared experiences will propel you into greater depth with those around you. You will have opportunities to share in the great diversity of God’s Kingdom, both around the world and here on campus. And so much more! Take a look below at some highlights of what Student Life could look like for you.
Campus Life
From regular campus activities and traditions to a full schedule of intramural sports and athletic and musical events, there’s always something happening on campus.
Housing
From suites and apartments, you share with friends to more traditional dorm rooms, we have a variety of student housing options on campus.
Spiritual Life
From chapel services to midweek small groups to individual spiritual mentoring, spiritual strengthening awaits you.
Global & Community Engagement
Whether you choose to study abroad for a semester, join a short-term Task Force Team or stay close to home through participating in one of our Living Learning Communities, you will have the opportunity to impact the world around you.
Greater South Bend/Mishawaka Community
Bethel University’s campus is in Mishawaka, Indiana, adjacent to South Bend, the state’s fourth-largest city. A vibrant arts, entertainment, and recreation scene has always flourished in the South Bend-Mishawaka-Elkhart metropolitan area.
- Several shopping and dining establishments as well as the University Park Mall and Heritage Square are located just north of campus, while Mishawaka’s landmark Riverwalk, with views of the St. Joseph River, is within two miles to the south.
- Throughout the year, leading national acts perform at South Bend’s Morris Performing Arts Center and Notre Dame’s DeBartolo Performing Arts Center.
- The South Bend Cubs, the AAA affiliate of the Chicago Cubs, play at Four Winds Field near South Bend’s Renaissance District.
- We are also within an hour’s drive of Lake Michigan beaches, where you can shop and relax.
