The Boys and Girls Club Northern Indiana Corridor (BGCNIC) will run their highly successful Indiana Summer Learning Labs program for Mishawaka at Bethel University June 16 through July 18, from 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. In collaboration with Mind Trust, with partner Lavinia Group, this program includes five weeks of reading and math lessons for current K-8 students, teacher planning resources, pre- and post-assessments and in-person coaching for facilitators, at no cost to the families they serve.

“We are proud to be a member of the community that supports other programs with their important work, and we believe in the value of exposing kids to college campuses and making them feel welcome even from a young age,” says Melyssa Geever, director of grant operations and community partnerships.

BGCNIC expects to host between 100-150 kids on Bethel’s campus each day, using Bethel classrooms, providing lunch and using some of Bethel’s outdoor facilities for physical education activities.
