Award Value

The Missionary Church Scholar Leader Program selects multiple students annually to join a community of scholar leaders, each receiving up to $100,000 over four years.

  • The scholarship is limited to $25,000 per academic year.
  • Scholarship funds are applied toward eligible tuition and required fees.

Eligibility Requirements

To be eligible for the Missionary Church Scholar Leader Program, applicants must:
  • Be an incoming Fall 2026 first-year or transfer traditional undergraduate student.
  • Be an active attendee of a Missionary Church.
  • Enroll full-time in a traditional undergraduate program.
  • Live in university residential housing.
  • Graduate from high school with a minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
  • Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) each year.
  • Submit a completed scholarship application by the stated deadline.
  • Provide verification of Missionary Church affiliation from a pastor or church leader.
  • Be admitted to Bethel University (Indiana) for Fall 2026 prior to scholarship consideration.
Final award decisions are made by the Bethel University Scholarship Committee.

Terms & Conditions

Financial Aid Coordination

This scholarship is considered institutional aid and is subject to the following financial aid policies:

  1. Institutional aid may not exceed the cost of tuition and required fees.
  2. Total financial aid may not exceed the student’s Cost of Attendance (COA).
  3. Awards may be adjusted if additional financial aid is received to ensure compliance with federal and institutional financial aid policies.
  4. If a recipient receives additional Bethel University talent-based aid (such as athletic, music, theater, or other performance-based scholarships), the relevant coach or department will be notified and may adjust their award to ensure institutional discount limits are not exceeded.

 

Renewal Requirements

The scholarship is renewable annually for up to four consecutive years (eight semesters) provided the student meets the following criteria:

  1. Maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) as defined by Bethel University.
  2. Maintain full-time enrollment in a traditional undergraduate program.
  3. Remain a residential student living in university housing.
  4. Complete the FAFSA annually by April 15.
  5. Remain in good academic and disciplinary standing with the university.

Failure to meet renewal requirements may result in reduction or cancellation of the scholarship.

 

Additional Conditions

  • This scholarship is non-transferable and applies only to enrollment at Bethel University.
  • The award has no cash value and cannot be refunded to the student.
  • Bethel University reserves the right to revise scholarship policies as necessary to comply with institutional and federal financial aid regulations.
