Bethel President Barbara K. Bellefeuille, Ed.D., has been named a YWCA Woman of the Year. She was honored Oct. 20 at the YWCA Tribute Dinner and Auction at Gillespie Conference Center in South Bend. The evening included a silent auction, dinner, live auction and awards program.

The Tribute Dinner and Auction honored “five remarkable women who are empowering individuals and lifting up our community through education.” In addition to Bellefeuille, Chancellor Susan Elrod of Indiana University South Bend; President Rebecca Stoltzfus of Goshen College; Chancellor Tia Robinson-Cooper of Ivy Tech, South Bend/Elkhart; and Preside Katie Conboy of Saint Mary’s College were also recognized.

“It is an honor to be recognized as a woman who is championing education in our community, alongside these other female Presidents. The YWCA is an exemplary organization helping many in need and its privilege to be recognized by them,” says Bellefeuille.
