Bless Bethel Teams
Bless Bethel Teams are groups and individuals who serve on a short-term or ongoing, voluntary basis to assist where needed on Bethel’s campus.
The Bless Bethel Story
The Bless Bethel idea was born from Stephen Lane, former director of financial services for the Central Region of the Missionary Church, alumnus and Bethel parent. As Stephen looked toward retirement, he began thinking of opportunities to use his time to serve the Lord. Then he began thinking about Bethel.
“I wondered how I could be a blessing to the school I love – Bethel University. Three of my daughters attended there and I completed my Master of Ministry there, too. I love what the Spirit of God is doing on campus in the students and through the wonderful staff! I love work projects, too! So why not develop a team that would give their time and talents to do some of those at Bethel?”
The first Bless Bethel Team came to campus in May 2024 and completed projects such as painting, landscaping and carpentry. In 2025, more teams joined the effort, serving for several different weeks throughout the summer. Now, the initial idea is expanding to meet needs for volunteer help on campus throughout the year.
